So my run for today hasn’t happened yet 😦 I overslept, and was feeling lazy this morning. I’ll try to get it in tonight after work. If it doesn’t happen, I’m not overly concerned. I ran the Long Beach Half Marathon on Sunday, and we’ll call this a recovery week.
For tomorrow, I’ve got a short run with the new Fleet Feet in Rancho Cucamonga on the schedule. It’s a new running group that runs every Thursday night. I’m really loving this group, and the new store they’re based out of. Until they opened, there wasn’t a running store for a good 30 miles in any direction for me. I think they’ll probably be seeing me alot in the next few months! If you’re a local Inland Empire runner, come out and support the business.
So onto more exciting running news…
In January, I’m heading to Orlando for the Walt Disney World Marathon, which I couldn’t be any more excited about. I’m running it with a few girls from my running club, and we’re going to have an amazing time (being tourists, taking pictures with Mickey, and oh yeah….running 26.2 miles).
Then in March, I’ll be running the LA Marathon (for the second time). It was my first marathon last year, and I absolutely HATED it. I love a good 13.1, but in light of completing my first full marathon, I swore to never run another one. Then the whole “peer pressure” thing happened. And then there was the offer of a Florida mini-vacation. And before you know it, I’m registered for Disney. Then I figured, since I’ll be trained for a full anyway, I might as well keep up the training and go for little LA Marathon redemption. I’ll be going after that race with an absolute vengeance.
I’m planning to my race history and schedule up on a new page here shortly, but first it’s time for a little work action.
