Looking forward to logging the new diet and weight loss undertaking, training my ass off for LA Marathon starting this fall, and maybe even documenting some of the fun from work (we get to do and see alot of really cool stuff!).
And my dogs….you can safely bet that there will be a lot of the dogs.
Today was a crazy Monday (per the norm — Mondays are always chaotic in my office). But I bolted out of the office quickly after quitting time, I wanted to make sure I had time to get a run in before the sun went down. I can always get a little more work done after that (and I did).
So here’s what I’ve got going right now in the food/fitness realm:
Jumpstart to Skinny:
My co-worker and I started Bob Harper’s Jumpstart to Skinny last week. It’s a shockingly doable 3 week diet plan, though I think the workouts are pretty lame. I mean — I bought a Bob Harper book, give me a Bob Harper workout, you know? Unfortunately, we’re heading to the lake this weekend with Ryan’s family, so it’s all going to completely fall apart at that point. Womp womp. I think I will probably restart the whole thing (rather than finishing the last week like the train didn’t run off the rails all weekend). I’d like to see what kind of results I can get from the plan by following it 100% start to finish.
I’ve been doing a not totally normal Couch to 5k plan to get myself back in shape for marathon training — Zombies 5K. It’s weird going back to square one with running, but I’m really enjoying it again, which is a nice change. I’m going to discuss the break I took from running soon, but let’s just say that since the Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon in February, I haven’t run. Not even a little bit. It was a huge change from the two years prior, when I was happily running races every other weekend.
So that’s the (very!) short version of what I’ve been up to.
